Here is Nergal on the cover of Polish Newsweek
- Posted by RobInjection on September 12, 2011
This one is for the ladies (and 10% of the gentlemen). Behemoth frontman Nergal graced the cover of a recent issue of Newsweek. Any Polish-speakers want to translate what it says? "Bog" means God, I believe, so what is the rest of it. Update: thanks to commenter s7mon for pointing out that it translates literally to "God Horror Homeland" and the caption is "The unknown face of the Polish Devil."
Nergal must be HUGE in his home country of Poland. Besides this, he is on their version of The Voice, which itself is an American Idol knockoff. Go Nergal!

Bóg means 'god', you're right ;) Horror is obviously horror, 'ojczyzna' means 'homeland'.
'Nieznane oblicze polskiego diabła' – the unknown face of the Polish Devil.
The cover looks great, but the interview itself is pretty dull. The interviewer asks Nergal the same questions over and over, she doesn't really care about his real views, she probably wants to hear that he's a satanist or whatever. Thankfully, he's much smarter than her, so she goes away with nothing.
Nergal in 'The Voice' is pretty good, I mean he's the only judge that knows completely nothing about singing, but he is probably the funniest and brightest guy there. I guess everybody expected him to be a brainless jerk that would swear and offend other all the time, but he's actually the nicest of the judges. And it's funny to see him flirting instead of fucking growling ;D
You should add that Bóg Honor Ojczyzna is the Polish Army motto, the honor is changed to horror here
You could land a plane on that forehead.
Nergal is such a fucking sell out clown…
I hate his face already…
Where's the integrity nowadays
Thanks for the insight into the translation! I'm really interested in languages and it helps! If you put the title in Google Translate it comes up as something kinda incoherent, thanks again!
