MOTORHEAD Preemptively Cancel Dallas & Houston Gigs This Weekend

It's been a rough week for Lemmy.

It's been a rough week for Lemmy.

It's been a rough week for Lemmy. It actually all started last Thursday in Salt Late City when the band had to stop their show a few songs in because Lemmy couldn't handle the altitude. Unfortunately, Lemmy suffered altitude sickness and forced a cancelation of the Denver show the next night.

Things got really bad in Austin, when Lemmy thought he could perform, but four songs in, he stopped the show and grabbed the mic and said "I can't do it." It was very sad. The band canceled any shows left for the week and hoped to return this weekend.

Now we learn the rest of this weekend's shows are cancelled. The band posted the following:

Regrettably Motörhead have had to cancel their Dallas and Houston appearances. Saxon will still be playing in each city (please check local media for up-to-date venue information). Lemmy fully intends to resume touring duties as, and when, his doctors give him the all-clear.

STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES, and as always, THANK YOU for your support, understanding and good wishes.

Our buddies at MetalSucks are trying to be optimists saying that if the band thought that Lemmy couldn't continue they would cancel the whole tour, but instead Lemmy and his people believe he's on the road to recovery. Look, I hope so. But everything in the past has indicated that Lemmy has pushed himself when he should've been resting. Let's hope this week of will be enough time for Lemmy to get his wits about him.
