In August 2017, Linkin Park bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell took to Facebook to say that he and the band were "so grateful for all of your support as we heal and build the future of Linkin Park" after the passing of frontman Chester Bennington. Linkin Park never confirmed nor denied definitively that they'd carry on or break up now that Bennington is gone, though keyboardist and vocalist Mike Shinoda said he and the band were definitely opposed to doing a hologram tour.
Now Shinoda has taken to Twitter to shed a little light on the subject and says that he and the rest of Linkin Park have every intention of carrying on. He adds that they've still got "lot of rebuilding to do, and questions to answer, so it'll take time," but there you have it. It seems like Linkin Park will return at some point in the future.
