In February, we talked about electronica artist Squarepusher teaming up with Japan's mechanical music ensemble Z-Machines to make an album featuring robots. It's a weird prospect but it's been done before, but man is it done well! The album was released o Apr. 8 and was aptly titled Music for Robots. While the album is rather interesting to say the least, the whole "making of" process is downright insanity:
It's amazing how such a normal instrument like a guitar or drum can sound so odd and grating when played so… mechanically perfect, to put it the best I can.
