Fossil Discovered In South Carolina Named After BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME

Drs. John Jagt, Lea Numberger-Thuy and Ben Thuy of the Natural History Museum in Luxembourg recently discovered a new species of brittle star in South Carolina. Due to some combination of the doctors being fans and Between The Buried And Me being from the neighboring state of North Carolina, they decided to name the fossil Amphilimna intersepultosetme. Which as we all know is the band's name in Latin. Duh.

Bassist Dan Briggs said the band is "honored to have been thought of alongside this little magical creature who swam in the waters of the Carolinas many years before us and we’ll be linked together for many years to come." Now let's see how many people actually take the time in the future to figure out what the fossil's name translates to, and of them, who knows the band.

The PRP also provided a picture of the fossil, which better be Between The Buried And Me's next album cover.
