MASTODON's Crack the Skye streaming in it's entirety; Why aren't you listening?
Posted on March 17th, 2009
Here at the Metal Injection studios, we cannot stop cranking the new MASTODON CD, Crack the Skye. It is an early contender for album of the year. But don't take our word for it. Head over to the band's MySpace page and stream that bitch in all it's southern-fried glory. Early contenders for my favorite track have to be either the opener, "Oblivion". or the incredibly infectious "the Czar."
This whole album is just killer. Listen, study up, and then go witness it in it's entirety on the band's upcoming tour.

5 horns up

I finally tracked down that 6 song advance that had be floating around and I'm totally floored by it. It's exactly what I was hoping for considering all the hype surrounding it. Really surprised that it's gotten so many dismal reviews from credible sources, but I love it. Can't wait to see this tour and to buy the album.
Fucking sweet! thanks for this.
I cannot believe this shit the album is good to pass on the mtv on day im fan of mastodon for so long and this album they dont scream they repeat the chorus like ten times this album really dont have the taste of what mastodon was!
For me this shit is just boring!!!
I think it's amazing.
If you need screaming to enjoy music then that's just sad.
No i dont need need screaming i listen to bands that dont scream but when im a fan of a band that screams and i like the screaming of that band when i pick up an album i hope that album continues the same structure and not like sing the chorus like a million times the problem is the name of the band MASTODON and what they acomplished and know they are just getting more fans and this case you "hassman" and im happy for you so listen to mastodon and be happy because im sad!!!

I've been listening to mastodon since remission. I've loved everything they've ever done.
Meh, too each their own.
