MASTODON's Crack the Skye streaming in it's entirety; Why aren't you listening?

Posted on March 17th, 2009

cracktheskye1Here at the Metal Injection studios, we cannot stop cranking the new MASTODON CD, Crack the Skye. It is an early contender for album of the year. But don't take our word for it. Head over to the band's MySpace page and stream that bitch in all it's southern-fried glory. Early contenders for my favorite track have to be either the opener, "Oblivion". or the incredibly infectious "the Czar."

This whole album is just killer. Listen, study up, and then go witness it in it's entirety on the band's upcoming tour.

I finally tracked down that 6 song advance that had be floating around and I'm totally floored by it. It's exactly what I was hoping for considering all the hype surrounding it. Really surprised that it's gotten so many dismal reviews from credible sources, but I love it. Can't wait to see this tour and to buy the album.

    I think it's amazing.

If you need screaming to enjoy music then that's just sad.
