- Posted on September 12, 2007
The surviving members of LED ZEPPELIN have confirmed that they will perform a special show at London's O2 arena on Monday, November 26 as part of a tribute to the late Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died last December.
Tickets will cost approximately $254 and will be distributed through some form of lottery on AhmetTribute.com. Fans will be chosen randomly and will be able to detail their seating or standing preferences on the web site. Tickets will be limited to two per per household. Tickets will not be available on any other source.
Profits will benefit the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which provides scholarships to universities in the United States, United Kingdom and Turkey.
The bill also includes PETE TOWNSHEND, BILL WYMAN & THE RHYTHM KINGS, FOREIGNER and PAOLO NUTINI.
Founding members Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals) and John Paul Jones (bass) will be joined by Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham, on drums.
