KERRY KING does not find KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's Adam D. amusing

adam d WTF Kerry King? During a recent interview, King was asked about current Mayhem Fest touring mates, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and was pretty open about his disdain for Adam D.'s on stage shenanigans:

When asked about the reports that SLAYER once threw KILLSWITCH ENGAGE off one of its tours, King said "We actually didn't get able to. I tried. Because I'd never seen 'em live, and then I saw them live at some, I don't know, maybe at Kerrang! Awards over in Europe. And I'm just offended by the silliness that goes on on stage [on the part of] the guitar player [Adam Dutkiewicz]. He puts his foot in his mouth all the time and he says stupid shit, and I just didn't think that side show should be on my stage. So I pulled the plug on the spot, but on that particular Jägermeister tour, we didn't have any product and they did, so Jäger kind of insisted, and I went… They're all friends of mine, so I said, 'OK, I'll deal with it.' Still don't like it."

Wow dude, chill out! Honestly, as of late, Adam D's antics is all that keeps me interested in watching KILLSWITCH. Nothing against the band, as they are very talented musicians, but I'm just over Killswitch. I've seen them so many times that the only thing keeping me interested is "What is Adam going to do next?" With that said, I do remember the first time I saw these guys on the Headbangers Ball tour in 2004, I thought this guy is funny but this is too much. So I can see where King is coming from, but at the same time dude, settle down! The ultimate goal at a show is too have a good time and its clear KsE know how to have it.

Well… Adam does acted like a retard on stage. at the show he told the girls to take their shirts off or "get the fuck out". and dear god you didnt want to see 100% of these "girls" that took their shirts off.

killswitch isnt even good anymore, so they shouldnt even play with slayer! haha

I say do what ever comes to you naturally but i swear every fucking band now adays is trying to show how funny and silly they are on interviews and on stage and shit that its fucking annoying. Most of the time its obvious theyre trying way to hard too show that theyre so wacky that you dont even have to listen to their album. it just has to be good.
adam is a perfect example and on stage its pretty much just like replacing lights or other shit to catch peoples attention.
I mean I like being funny more than the next guy but the fact that my fans would would find anything i do or say funny regardless would get pretty fuckin old.
the focus should be taking the music more seriously.

i think that because killswitch overtime has developed a more "emo" audience, adam is only doing it to get them to laugh a little. if they wanted to reach out to their metalhead audience they'd play their music as themselves and not try so hard to be funny. adam was probly funny the first tour he started doing that but now its just gotten old.

I Love Killswitch i just saw them at mayhem fest, and no offense to slayer(their gods) um.. killswitch was a lot better. It's fun to watch and doesnt make me wanna fall asleep i love adam D. he is so funny and its cool to see someone with so much energy on stage it makes you happy to being seeing them ya know..ADAM D. IS FUCKING AWESOME AND FUNNY AS SHIT!!!

I'm a huge fan of Killswitch, and I think that Slayer is extreamly overrated but still ok. But opinions don't matter. I think that there's nothing wrong with Adam D, in fact it really lights up a show, so Kerry King had no right to talk about Adam D like that. If Slayer just grew up and stopped acting like they should own the world as the so called "gods of metal" they are, then maybe their shows would be even more amazing then they supposedly are. But hey, anyone can be whatever they want, so if Kerry wants to go on stage all serious, that's fine. And if Adam wants to go acting funny and wierd, well, that's fine too. After all, he still plays, it's not like he just does nothing except act like an idiot.
