JOB FOR A COWBOY Reunites With Drummer Jon "Charn" Rice For A Canadian Festival

So… is Job For A Cowboy back?

So... is Job For A Cowboy back?

The last time Job For A Cowboy played live was in August 2013. The band never toured in support of its latest record, Sun Eater released in 2014, and the group's van also went on fire last year. That fire essentially prompted MetalSucks to reach out to Metal Blade to see what was up, to which the answer was the group's members were "deep in day job land."

Fast forward to this week, when the lineup for the Modified Ghost Festival was announced. The festival will take place between April 4 and 7 at various locations in Vancouver, BC. The announcement states that not only is Job For A Cowboy playing (for the first time in nearly 3 years), but that drummer Jon "Charn" Rice will be behind the kit for the first time since 2013!

Charn is currently in Scorpion Child, so who knows what this means. Is this show a one off and our proverbial cowboy will be out of a job again? Is Charn coming back and Job For A Cowboy will reactivate? Who knows! The bottom line is that, if only briefly, an amazing band will make its return.
