Value Penguin has compiled statistics of amount of bands per capita, amount of people showing up at shows, radio stations, recoding studios, and all that good stuff, and came up with this list.
This isn't just pertaining to metal either – this is if you're a fan of music at all. That being said, who the hell knew Honolulu would be so high up on this list? Or that cities like Philadelphia and Chicago would be so low? It's surprising, but the site really looks like it dove deep into the numbers for this one as well.
