GUNS N' ROSES Is In The Process Of Writing A Record To Be Released "Really Soon"

Where have we heard this before…

Where have we heard this before...

Back in 1994, Guns N' Roses began writing what would eventually become their fabled 2008 release Chinese Democracy after an unbelievable list of delays that included lawsuits and a revolving cast of band members that made The Faceless look like Rush. Now keyboardist for the group Dizzy Reed says the band is working on a new record that they will hopefully release very soon… so take that for what's it worth.

"There's a lot of material that's already done and I think it's in the process of being finished and eventually we'll pick out which songs need to come out with which other songs. So that's in the works. Hopefully it will be out really soon."

The assumption is that the new material was recorded during the extensive recording sessions for Chinese Democracy, which makes sense given it's hard to believe a band only wrote 14 songs in the span of 14 years. Even Tool writes faster than that! Even if it isn't material that wasn't included on the record and it's actually newly-written stuff, it'll be interesting to see what path they take musically. All the dudes in the band currently played on Chinese Democracy, so a change in guard leading to a change in sound wouldn't be a viable route to assume anything by.

So… are you stoked or should there be some gardening and unloading done to Guns N' Roses?
