Guitar World Names KORN's "Blind" As The Best Seven-String Guitar Song Of All Time…Wait, What?!

When you think of seven string guitar gods, what's the first name that pops into your mind? Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah? Tosin Abasi of Animals As Leaders? Guess what? Guitar World says you're wrong, it's Munky from Korn!

That's right, Guitar World just released it's list of the "10 Greatest Seven-String Guitar Songs of All Time" and in perhaps a huge troll, they awarded Korn's "Blind" the number one spot.

Periphery didn't even make the list! They were runners up.

Dream Theater, Meshuggah, Steve Vai, Animals As Leaders all made the cut all behind Korn. Guitar World says Korn "helped to bring the seven-string back from the brink of extinction, giving rise to the nu metal movement in the process."

Sure, Korn brought back the seven-string but to say it's the best seven-string song of all time is not at all true. I mean, cahm on, "Future Breed Machine" blows it out of the water.

I understand that lists are ultimately bullshit, and it's just one writer, or one collection of writers' opinions and they most likely did this on purpose so bloggers such as yours truly can express outrage at the list and lead traffic to their website, so if that's the case, congratulations on a good well done. But as for your credibility, Guitar World, that's a whole different issue!

What do you think is the best seven-string guitar song of all time? Let us know in the comments!
