GUITAR HERO makers confirm wireless guitars come standard with all versions of upcoming game
Posted on September 24th, 2007We're at just about a month away from launch of the third version of the GUITAR HERO franchise, and today reps from RedOctane, the makers of the video game confirmed that all platforms (Wii, PS2, PS3 and X-box 360) would be receiving wireless guitars standard in the package. The game bundle will retail for $99.99 for the PS3 and 360 version, and $89.99 for the PS2 and Wii versions.
Those that already have their PS2 or 360 Guitar Hero II controllers will still be able to use these in Guitar Hero III. These wired controllers can also be purchased separately for $39.99 or $59.99, respectively. The game alone will cost $49.99 and $59.99, respectively, making the wireless bundles a much better detail for the first-time Guitar Hero buyer.
PC and Mac users can expect to have access to wired USB-enabled guitars for the Guitar Hero III release to these platforms.
