Gibson Announces Its Guitar of the We(a)k
Posted on August 7th, 2007
Yeah. It definitely is not pretty. Gibson Guitars have been running the Guitar of the Week program for almost a year now. Today, they announced an unique design: the Reverse Flying V.
Seemingly based on Gibson’s 1958 Flying V, the Reverse Flying V is inversed with a V-style mahogany fin, a retro-styled headstock, and Gibson’s Trans Amber finish. Other features include a string-thru-body V tail piece and eyelets, one volume knob, and dual topless (teehee) ‘57 Classic humbuckers with nickel pole pieces (teehee).
The guitar will have a solid Mahogany body, a Mahogany rounded neck (24 3/4” scale length), a Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and dotted inlays, gold hardware, a tune-o-matic bridge, amber knobs, green key tuning machines, and a 3-way pickup switching system.
As with the other instruments in Gibson's Guitar of the Week series, the Reverse Flying V will be produced for a Limited Edition of only 400 guitars; although I personally wouldn't buy one, regardless of how many are produced.

You said "pole."
That is one ugly-ass guitar. It's sort of like rearranging the male genitalia in a pants-too-high kind of way.
Thats an ugly guitar.
