Everyone’s favorite folk metal band, Finntroll, is going back to the studio to record a new album. The group has been teasing fans for the last few days with progress messages on their Twitter account. They have announced that all of the songwriting has been completed and they will grace Sonic Pump Studios with their presence starting tomorrow, November 13th, 2012.
The band’s seventh album is currently untitled, but is planned to be released sometime in 2013. The Finnish outfit released a demo preview of the album last month on their Facebook page (viewable below). The preview contains samples from multiple songs and is accompanied by some humorous comments. Although the recording is low quality, it’s packed with tons of mystical energy and instrumentation that a Troll-King would approve of.
