BLACK VEIL BRIDES Frontman To Metal Fans: "LEAVE AVENGED SEVENFOLD ALONE!!"

Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack either doesn't understand the Internet or just got into metal and has no idea what the past thirty years have held. All he really wants you to do is 2 leve Aveng'd Sevinfold alone bcuz thay sold recardz and r cool u guize! LEVE THEM ALON!!! STOP!!! Y CANT WE B FRENDZ?!

I'm going to withhold everything I have to say about the following until you've read it and can fully comprehend the immense misunderstanding going on here. Biersack recently told Artisan News in this video:

“There is nothing more, I guess, cannibalistic than the metal or hard rock scene, it seems. And people wonder why we aren’t selling millions of records and why we’re not at the top of pop and everything.

It’s because, in my estimation, we have eaten ourselves alive for the last twenty years. The genre itself, the feeling of, ‘If something gets successful, let’s bash it.’ Or in the case of Avenged Sevenfold, how ridiculous is it that one of our own got a number one record and is doing all this wonderful stuff and everyone feels the need to say something negative to them.

It’s a real testament to where the, the dark side, in my estimation, of the metal community, or the hard rock community, where people don’t want success for the things that they don’t necessarily love.

And also, it’s really commonplace for metal fans to not give new bands a chance. It’s just it is, you know? The Black Album still sells more copies—not saying it’s not an amazing album—but The Black Album still sells more copies than any record that is put out every single week than any new band.

And it’s not to say that any new bands put out a record that’s as good as the Black Album, but I don’t think people are even really ready to give it a chance.”

Did you see it? Did you see where Biersack misunderstood metal and music in general? First of all, when death metal started becoming a thing in the 80's, it was a bunch of dudes trading tapes and clubs essentially wondering what the living fuck that racket was.

Obviously Avenged Sevenfold aren't death metal, but I'm getting there. So it evolved and changed over the years, and the heavier sounds seeped into other areas of rock and metal (and vice versa). The scene grew over all that time, and in those thirty years I'm sure we didn't all hold hands and sing songs about loving each other and circle jerking to every album that came out that got noticed because "it maed thum fele good." No. You get criticized just as much as you get praised. People don't like you and others do. Wow! It's like they have opinions or something! Plus if everyone was just sitting there jerkin' Avenged's egos, what the hell would that solve? So we get along really well and… everyone else likes metal and the scene progresses? How about good shit just keeps coming out and we'll let that further the scene? Again- wow. It's like I used my brain for thinking.

Also, what's up with his Black Album hard on? I don't get that part. Whatever. Biersack, just stop.
