BLACK SABBATH Have Found A 'Substitute' For Bill Ward
- Posted by Nic Huber on May 18, 2012
Probably the biggest metal news of the year is that the original lineup of Black Sabbath was getting back together for an album and a subsequent world tour. Unfortunately, since the announcement was made, it's been clear that drummer Bill Ward was having a hard time reaching an agreement with the band and its people. Then, news earlier this week that Ward will officially be sitting out the reunion shows at Birmingham, the Download festival, and Lollapalooza.
In wake of the shitty news that Ward will not be performing with Sabbath, at least for now, the band has released a statement saying they wouldn't be making detailed comments about Ward's statement earlier this week, instead keeping their response short and sweet:
"We have decided not to make any detailed comment on Bill's latest statement. There are two sides to every story. We have been working hard at rehearsals making excellent progress after Tony's treatments and we have engaged a substitute drummer for the forthcoming shows. See you at Download."
This begs the question: who is going to be drumming for Black Sabbath. Could it be Ozzy's band drummer, Tommy Clufetos? Somebody else? Who would you like to see drumming for Sabbath now that Bill Ward is out?
