Secret Solstice is a festival being held this month in Iceland that will feature artists such as Deftones, Radiohead, Of Mice And Men, Die Antwoord, and over 170 other acts. While that in and of itself should be an incredible draw for the organizers, Secret Solstice is taking it one step further and having a small show inside the Thrihnuagigur volcano on June 18.
The show will consist of Deftones frontman Chino Moreno performing an acoustic set for 20 ticketholders within a dormant magma chamber of the volcano, which is 400 feet below the surface. This is the first time any artist ever has performed inside a volcano (not on top of – in), and is so damn special that the show sold out before the artist was even announced.
Icelandic artist Snorri Helgason will be opening for Moreno, who will be fucking up hugely if he doesn't play an acoustic version of "Hole In The Earth."
