All Four DECAPITATED Members Arrested In California On Alleged Kidnapping Charges

…what the hell is going on?!

...what the hell is going on?!

Decapitated is currently out on tour with Thy Art Is Murder and Fallujah, though things have hit a bit of a snag. According to The Spokesman-Review of Spokane, all four members of Decapitated have been arrested in Santa Ana, California the night of September 8 after allegedly kidnapping a woman on August 31 in Spokane, Washington.

All four members of Decapitated are currently in Los Angeles County Jail waiting to be sent back to Spokane. According to the news site, "the case is still under investigation by the department’s Special Victims Unit." The police have officially identified Decapitated as 27-year-old Michael M. Lysejko, 35-year-old Waclaw J. Kieltyka, 31-year-old Rafal T. Piotrowski and 30-year-old Hubert E. Wiecek.

Update: DECAPITATED's Attorney Blasts Kidnapping Charges: "There Is Another Side To This"

Since originally posting this story, the band's lawyer released a statement, which you can read here, saying there are witnesses who back up that no such kidnapping took place.  Decapitated's attorney, Steve Graham offered this statement to The Spokesman-Review:

“Defense attorney Steve Graham of Spokane said he was hired by the band on Thursday after they became aware of the investigation.

“There is another side to this,’ he said. ‘We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit band of her own free will and left on good terms.’

“He said he told police that the band members had offered to surrender but never heard anything back. ‘I made it clear that I could get the guys up here ASAP and they would cooperate,’ he said.

“Graham said he’s concerned that they will ‘languish’ in the Los Angeles County Jail for weeks before being returned to Spokane, but said the four will not fight extradition and will return to Spokane willingly.”

In Spokane, punishment for class A felony is imprisonment for twenty years or more and for class B felony is eight years or more. Bail is currently set at $100,000. They should be looking up how to remove mugshot from Google.

No word on if the tour will proceed or not, but it can be assumed that Decapitated will miss most, if not all the remaining tour dates.
