I will admit, I'm a few days late with this news, but that's because it's all taken a while to sink in. Atreyu were putting feelers out to their fans that they may be plotting a comeback.
It all started on Saturday when the band posted a message asking their Facebook fans to repost their message "if you want Atreyu to write a new song for your ears to bleed too. [sic]"
Naturally, the post got over 3,000 shares as of this writing and nearly 18,000 likes, that led to a follow-up post the next day:
I'm thinking, if we did do 1 new Atreyu song, it won't be for a few months BUT I would like it to be given away free to our fans. You guys have given us soo much, if we can get it done , how cool would that be??? Truly punk rock! Just thinking aloud! Enjoy Mother's Day! I am- ALpal
PS yes there will be tons of screaming and shredding ala the curse etc. none of that major label BS. Cross your fingers
No, no, no, no, NO! We don't want it. While I credit the band for admitting their later material was "BS," that would mean they are saying their earlier material was not "BS" and that…IS A LIE!
