DEAD CROSS (FAITH NO MORE, Ex-SLAYER) Is Writing More Music For Its Coming Tour

They don't have enough music for a headlining tour, but they're fixing that.

Dead Cross, the band that consists of ex-Slayer & Suicidal Tendencies's Dave Lombardo on drums, Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton, Retox guitarist Mike Crain, and The Locust bassist Justin Pearson, will be releasing its debut album on August 4 via Ipecac Records. The album runs about a half an hour long, which isn't quite enough for a headliner of a tour.

So in addition to playing the whole album live, Dead Cross is working on more new music to play throughout its August tour!

“…He [Mike Patton] didn’t know if he wanted to tour with the band, but it turns out that he loves the music so much that he thought it’d be a good idea for us to do some shows. We’re very grateful for that too. We have to embrace it and enjoy it while it’s here, because who knows, maybe in a few months he’s not going to want to tour, or anything else.

It seems like things are on a positive note and we’re going to do some more touring, and at this moment we’re writing more music to add to our set, because the set is only 30 minutes, so we need to add another 10 minutes, so probably another five songs!”

Sounds like the perfect reason to see Dead Cross – there's no way they won't play whatever song you want to hear, and you'll still get to hear new stuff!
