In a world where every single band under the sun has their own beer, some announcing three in one day, Darkest Hour have taken a much different and family-friendly turn.

The D.C.-based band have teamed up with D.C. company Mount Desert Island Ice Cream to create a new flavor called Savor the Chill, which is available through November 22. Purchase of the ice cream also comes with a limited edition shirt.

MetalSucks points out that Mount Desert Island Ice Cream is also owned by Dischord Records employees Brian Lowit and Melissa Quinley, which is pretty cool! We also suggest you go see Darkest Hour on tour with Damnation A.D., Cemetery Piss, Walk the Plank and No Man.
