Above you can hear in its entirety, a fresh new track from DAATH called "Sharpen the Blades" and it really shows the progression in the band's sound, and its quite awesome. The band is adding a lot of groove, and the new vocalist kicks ass. Oh, and in case you were under a rock, they have one of the best drummers in metal, Kevin Talley previously of CHIMAIRA and DYING FETUS fame. So, check out the song and give us your opinion in the comments.

Ok. Had to comment. First i like DAATH. Kevin Talley is amazing. This song… not so much? the little guitar "fills" at 55s-58s are garbage, they ssound very unprofessional and not in that good "i'm underground biaatch!" kinda way. the fill at 1:12 is also the worst ever. it takes away from the groove, not adding to it. 1:41-1:55 is bad ass. kudos. 2:37-2:40 is also very metal. big fan. the fill at 2:41 however made me loose my erection. uncool guys. and the "ding" at 3:18 was fun. gotta love the fun. Lastly, the singing sounded like it was put through a processor, i don't like that. and the lyrics sounded like they should have been sung by Brett Michaels in 1987. "Sharpen the Blaaaaaaaaaaade!" aka "it cuts me…like a knife!"

meh its allright, nothing new. nothing about this band makes me want to headbang. The drum fills are shit. The guitar work is pretty shitty too, but dont get me wrong i know emil is a very talented player. They're guitar tone is hollow sounding, not enough punch. And to top it all off, they're singer just sounds like everyone else's vocalist. NO ORIGIONALITY. 3 thumbs down
