CROWBAR Enter Studio To Begin Work On A New Record!

Crowbar are ending 2013 on a pretty positive note. First, drummer Tommy Buckley announced he's cancer free after a bit of a scary surgery, bassist Pat Bruders up and bailed on them but was quickly replaced by Jeff Golden, Kirk Windstein left Down to focus on Crowbar and avoid drinking, and now the band are hitting up the studio for a new record! Phew, that was a lot of information.

Crowbar have very recently entered the OCD Recording Studio along with engineer Duane Simoneaux to begin recording their follow up to 2010's Sever The Wicked Hand. Mixing duties for the record will be handles by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has previously worked with Hatebreed, Soulfly and Shadows Fall among the numerous names. There isn't any word on when the group are shooting to have the record done by, though at this stage that's to be expected. Any year that contains a Crowbar release is a solid year in my book given the fact that we don't see them nearly as often as we do with other bands. Great art takes time though, right?
