Last week, we were shocked to learn of the passing of Static-X frontman Wayne Static. He was only 48 years old. According to his wife, Tera Wray, Static died in his sleep. Immediately following the announcement, rumors started going around that drugs were involved. Rumors which Wray squashed.

There is now further word on Static's cause of death. Blabbermouth reached out to the San Bernardino coroner's office  who reported back that no foul play is suspected in Static's death. Here is the full statement:

"We can confirm the death of Wayne Dick Static, a 48-year-old Landers resident on 11/1/14 at his home. While the manner of death is listed as pending, no foul play is suspected. No further details are available at this time."

The coroner is still awaiting the toxicology report before making a final analysis. Toxicology reports typically take several weeks to complete.
