COFFINS Ready The Fleshland

This summer marks the return of Japan's masters of deathened doom metal, Coffins. The band's follow-up to 2008's Buried Death is called The Fleshland and it's Coffins' first release on Relapse Records who are pulling out all the stops for the release.

In addition to the standard CD/LP/Digital formats, Relapse is also releasing a special deluxe edition on CD, double LP, and even cassette for all you metalheads who are too kvlt for durable formats and good audio quality. The album art, which you can see above, was created by Chris Moyen, who's worked with the band on all of their previous albums. It's appropriately morbid and grotesque to reflect the band's music…which sounds like what a zombie's belch probably smells like.

The official release date for The Fleshland is July 9th, and you can follow this link to Relapse's Coffins page if you want to  pre-order one of the special bundle deals the label has put together.
