CHURCH OF MISERY Set To Release Thy Kingdom Scum

The summer of 2013 is shaping up to be a banner year for fans of Japanese doom metal. First, Coffins announced The Fleshland, their first LP in almost five years. And now Church of Misery have announced their next album, titled Thy Kingdom Scum, will be released on June 11th via Metal Blade Records.

Like Coffins, Church of Misery are a long running band with an international cult following and a mountain of releases. Thy Kingdom Scum is the band's fourth release in 12 years, but, in that time, they've also churned out a tidal wave of EP's, splits, and DVD's crammed with sludgy, Sabbath worshiping stoner doom metal.

Below is the official video for "Brother Bishop", the debut track from Thy Kingdom Scum. Check it out in anticipation of the album's release date in June. And keep an eye out for more updates about Church of Misery as the band has plans to tour  later this year.
