Chuck Klosterman Checks In With The Definitive Review of Lulu
- Posted by RobInjection on October 25, 2011
Everybody knows famed pop-culture author Chuck Klosterman is a metalhead, as he wrote a book about discovering it while growing up in Fargo. So it was quite interesting to read his take on the abominable collaboration between Lou Reed & Metallica, and the man couldn't be more biting and on point. I highly recommend reading his review on Grantland, where he is very fair and even handed, praising the musicians for their bravery but ultimately hating the outcome. My favorite line from the review is "if the Red Hot Chili Peppers acoustically covered the 12 worst Primus songs for Starbucks, it would still be (slightly) better than this." Ouch!

12 worst Primus songs? I think he means "Antipop".
lol true
The only thing worse than this album is how much I've had to hear about it. Fuck.
Wonder what Cliff Burton would have thought…
