PAPA ROACH Crowdfunding: Buy Their Studio with Everything Still In It, A Signed Refrigerator, Or A Baby Prop

Also, buy a baby prop for nearly $3k!

Also, buy a baby prop for nearly $3k!

Papa Roach isn't quite crowd funding its new record so much as it is putting up pre-orders with crazy perks, which I've always views as the same thing no matter which way you slice it, but whatever. The bottom line is that the band has some absolutely fucking bonkers perks for whenever you fund/pre-order the record.

How crazy? We'll go from most to least most insane with this list.

  • For $600,000 you can buy the band's studio with everything in it. The studio is in downtown Sacramento and if you've got three fifths of a million bucks hanging around, then that sucker can be yours.
  • You can buy the fridge from the studio for $500. It's signed, and it's a fridge… so that's pretty weird. Why just the fridge? What if I buy the studio and someone else buys the fridge? Do I have to go shopping for a fridge now?
  • If you remember the band's 2002 album Lovehatetragedy, you can buy the baby prop that was used on the cover for $2,500. For those wondering, this was not the album with "Last Resort."
  • For $500, you can have a songwriting class on Skype or lesson from bassist Tobin Esperance, or lesson from guitarist Jerry Horton. You can also probably ask either of them to teach you to play "Last Resort."
  • You can spend a day in the studio with the band for $2,000. This just comes with a digital download of the record… I feel like there should be more to this considering you also have to pay for travel and accommodation.
  • For $250, Papa Roach will sign you Happy Birthday and then give you an .mp3 of it, which seems like a sad way to spend your birthday.

Anyway. That's all I got. Props to Papa Roach for being creative with this one, but what the fuck? An ENTIRE STUDIO? Someone let us know if you can live in the studio when you buy it? We're curious.
