Mike Patton Involved In Accident, DEAD CROSS' California Show Cancelled

"It's not grave," according to Mike Crain.

"It's not grave," according to Mike Crain.

Dead Cross recently embarked on a tour in support of its debut album, and things have been a bit rocky. The band was arrested in Texas and released by police to seemingly no major consequence, and now vocalist Mike Patton has been involved in an accident.

According to reports and the below video, Patton was involved in an accident on his way to the band's August 21 show at El Rey in Los Angeles, California. Blabbermouth says Secret Chiefs 3 finished up its set, there was a half an hour delay between them and Dead Cross, and then both Mike Crain and Dave Lombardo came out to give the news.

"There's been an accident," Crain said "Mike was in an accident. It's not grave, but he's unable to be here tonight. He's hurt. So I'm sorry. We apologize. We're gonna reschedule. And tickets will be refunded at points of purchase."

"On behalf of the band, we're really sorry," added Lombardo.

We wish Patton was a speedy recovery at this time, and hope everything is alright.

Update 11:09AM EDT: We just received this official statement from Mike Patton's publicist:

Mike Patton was involved in a minor accident last night en route to the Los Angeles date of Dead Cross' current tour. Tonight's performance has been canceled but a decision has yet to be made about the remaining dates.
