BLACK SABBATH Postpone Two Canadian Dates Due To OZZY Illness
When you book a tour called "The End" and are labelling it your final tour ever, it's not proper form to cancel on any dates, because there will be no "next time" to see your band. Black Sabbath caught themselves in such a predicament this weekend, as they've had to postpone two dates due to frontman Ozzy Osbourne falling ill.
This past Saturday night's gig (January 30) at the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada was cancelled just two hours before the sold-out show was set to start, but will be rescheduled. Tonight's show (Feb 1) in Calgary's Scotiabank Saddledome is also going to be rescheduled. Speaking on social media, Ozzy posted:
Due to extreme sinusitis with Ozzy Osbourne the shows in both Edmonton and Calgary have been postponed. Details regarding rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as they are available.
I am sure nobody wanted to cancel or postpone any dates, but it seems like it'd be pretty hard to sing with a sinus infection. Our best thoughts to Ozzy Osbourne for a speedy recovery. No word on when the dates have been rescheduled to.
