Nergal's ME AND THAT MAN Splits With Multi-Instrumentalist John Porter

"I'll try to be as diplomatic as I can. It wasn't the easiest collaboration in my life."

"I'll try to be as diplomatic as I can. It wasn't the easiest collaboration in my life."

Me And That Man formerly consisted of Behemoth frontman Nergal and British songwriter John Porter. Me And That Man released their debut album Songs Of Love And Death in 2017 and has now suffered a bit of a lineup change. Nergal tells uDiscover the collaboration between him and Porter wasn't terribly easy and would jokingly probably end in one murdering the other.

"I'll try to be as diplomatic as I can. It wasn't the easiest collaboration in my life, which means that it was the most difficult collaboration in my life. I'm talking man to man, because there's been some man-female collaborations that were a bit harder. But [for a] man-to-man collaboration, it was very hard. So it just wouldn't work. Either one would kill one another sooner or later, so better to stay alive and separate."

Nergal says Me And That Man will likely record a new album in 2019 and release it in 2020, possibly with a replacement for Porter (or not). Behemoth will also release an album probably this year, at least we're hoping.
