Well this sucks. Salome were a shining light in the underground doom metal scene, always putting forward a ferocious performance. We've spoken highly of the band before. But it looks like that's no more. Frontwoman Kat Katz posted on her Facebook wall that she has left the band because of personal conflicts. It's hard to see how the band can continue without her, as she was the heart and soul of the band. Here is her full statement:

I’m no longer in Salome because of personal conflicts within the band. I wish them well if they decide to continue on, and I hope they’re successful with all their projects. I’m continuing with Agoraphobic Nosebleed and will hopefully be forming another project in the future.

Thanks for everyone’s support over the years. I greatly appreciate it.

    Heart and soul? She was the weakest aspect of the band. Her vocals didn't fit at all, she's way better in AnB. That's really weak of you guys to act like the bands career is over because she left. Especially since the drummer and the guitarist are what make this band.

    I think she fits better in AnB personally.
