AVENGED SEVENFOLD Is Talking About A New Album, Streams Two Live Tracks

Avenged Sevenfold's album The Stage will have been out for two years come October 2018, though hopefully you won't have to wait a ton longer than that for the follow-up. According to vocalist M. Shadows in an interview with Billboard, the band is excited about where it's at currently and are sort of plotting a new album as we speak. Nothing's written, but they're inspired!

"We’re really excited where our head space is. Just musically we feel like we want to express ourselves with an album and maybe not go drag [“The Stage“] out too much longer. There’s no new songs. We’ll probably talk for a couple months before we even start writing. There’s just so many cool new influences and all these new things we’ve been talking about, sparking us to think about different things outside of the box. I’m sure we’ll throw those ideas around. I already know it’s going to be different and cool, and that’s just exciting for me."

This will be the band's second album with ex-Bad Religion drummer Brooks Wackerman, and they're likely not going to do a surprise release again considering how terribly that went last time.

Avenged Sevenfold recently released its Live At The Grammy Museum acoustic live album, and are currently streaming their performance of The Rolling Stones' 1965 hit "As Tears Go By." The song is also available on Avenged Sevenfold's deluxe two-disc version of its new album The Stage. Oh, and you can check out a live version of "The Stage" from the same deluxe version below as well!
