AVENGED SEVENFOLD Attempting To Stop Warner Bros. From Releasing Greatest Hits Collection

The plot thickens… again.

The plot thickens... again.

Avenged Sevefold's 2016 has been full of surprises and general pains in the asses. The band is currently going to trial with its former label Warner Bros. over a contract dispute, of which Avenged Sevenfold has rid itself of and has since moved over to Capitol Records.

After Avenged Sevenfold's departure from Warner Bros., word leaked that the group would be releasing a new album called Voltaic Oceans on December 9. Naturally, Warner Bros. planned for a Greatest Hits to come out on December 2 to block some of the sales… and they still did it, even though Voltaic Oceans was a lie and The Stage came out way sooner.

Now Avenged Sevenfold is suing Warner Bros. over the Greatest Hits because they never had a say in it, according to TMZ. This would be in clear violation of their contract with Warner Bros., but hasn't the band since left that contract under California Law, thus nullifying their say?

The lawsuit demands the Greatest Hits be pulled from shelves, so we'll see how well that pans out.
