Quite a while ago, we posted about an Opeth book that would likely be coming out at some point in 2016. Fortunately, that "some point" has now been revealed to be April 15 and you can pre-order the book right here via Rocket 88 Books!

The book will come with a 7" record that will feature exclusive acoustic versions of "Atonement" and "Demon of the Fall," which is worth it alone!

This sumptuously illustrated oral history presents Opeth’s unique tale, from their earliest days until the present, and all in glorious dark colour. Told in the first-person by Mikael, the band, their friends, former members and collaborators including designer Travis Smith, it is illustrated throughout with hundreds of previously unseen and rare photos, artworks and memorabilia. Every copy of the first 4,000 books also contain a vinyl record of previously unreleased recordings which is only available with Book of Opeth.

Here, for the first time, is the full and complete history of Opeth. Illustrated throughout with early, personal, candid, studio and live photographs, each copy comes with a free seven-inch vinyl record.

The book will come in the Classic Edition, as well as the Signature Edition. The latter of which is limited to 500 copies (as opposed to 3,500), will be signed by Mikael Åkerfeldt, and will have exclusive artwork from Travis Smith. Check 'em all out here!

Also, today, Opeth confirmed they will be playing a special one-off 25th-anniversary gig at New York City's famed Radio City Music Hall on Oct. 1st. Tickets go on sale this Friday, with a pre-sale going on right now via Ticketmaster using promo code "BLABBERMOUTH."
