It's Just Business
Roadrunner Records Loses Senior A&R VP; Monte Conner Has Left The Building
- Posted by Nic Huber on August 2, 2012
As much as it pains me to say it, Roadrunner Records is dead to me. Monte Conner; the man who signed Slipknot, Sepultura, Type 0 Negative, Nailbomb, Obituary, Machine Head, Gojira, Suffocation, Trivium and so many other great bands has left the company after 20 years. His official title was Senior VP of A&R, and he had pretty much made Roadrunner the label that it was in the late 90s and 2000s. This is just another sign that the future of Roadrunner will be just its name. This is most certainly the end of an era at Roadrunner. Our best wishes to Monte Connor.
