Gene Simmons Says He'd Trademark The Air If He Could, Compares Himself To Jesus

Gene Simmons? Conceited? No way!

Gene Simmons? Conceited? No way!

Kiss' Gene Simmons is an extremely successful businessman, though he's usually making headlines for saying things that make people hate him. For instance, he doesn't regret trying to trademark the "Devil's Horns" gesture used abundantly in rock and metal, and he doesn't think you're an artist if you can't read music.

Now good ol' lovable Gene is back, and he tells Metro that he'd trademark the air you breathe if you could. Obviously that's literally impossible, though Simmons' wants to make it abundantly clear that he's just out to make as much money as possible. Oh, and he compares himself to Jesus, which is pretty non-conceited.

"You can't please everybody. Not everybody likes Jesus, either. Instead of worrying what people think, I just go my merry way and do whatever I want to do. If I could, I would trademark the air you breathe. Every breath. Yes, I would."

Gene Simmons – he invented synchronized stage moves and he's about as likable as Jesus.
