Exclusive Interview with BLACKGUARD Vocalist Paul Ablaze

Our Pagan Fest coverage rolls on with a BLACKGUARD interview and live footage. We interviewed vocalist Paul Ablaze. If you don't know, his band won a Myspace contest that Nuclear Blast held which awarded them a record deal with the label. The band are no newcomers though, as they have been around the Montreal scene just as long as household names such as Despised Icon and Beneath the Massacre.

My favorite part of the interview is when I asked him if he had any advice for other bands looking to get a label's attention. His answer was somewhat a surprise and yet still pretty obvious. Check out the interview above and then two live clips we shot of the band here and here.
