Lars Ulrich Either Trolling or An Idiot; Says Lulu Is Better Than Justice

lars-ulrich-200ak092710

We know Lars Ulrich is a troll in the vertical sense of the word, but also in the figurative U MAD?? sense too? In a recent circlejerk interview in RollingStone, all the players in this Lulu trainwreck were interviewed and Lars gave a choice quote to the magazine:

On the phone, a few days after Lulu is mastered, Ulrich describes listening to the album on a late-night car ride. "I was overwhelmed," he confesses. "I also felt, 'This is really unique.'" How unique? He laughs. "This makes… And Justice for All sound like the first Ramones album."

Are you serious, bro? Look, all I've heard is "The View" and that track makes St. Anger look like Mozart. I want to say I won't even bother listening to all of Lulu, but I feel it is part of my job to suffer through it in order to bring you junkies all the comedic madness that results from it. Can't wait to hear it Lars!

So stoked to review this. As much as I love Metallica, I hate Lars Ulrich more. If that even makes sense…

I think the headline is misleading… I don't think he was saying the album is "better" than Justice, I think he's saying it's complex and dark and has heavy, cynical subject matter. That's what the Ramones reference is… the Ramones are light, and funny, and sing songs about drinking and hanging out at the beach with their girlfriend. So this makes Justice look like the Ramones because it's EVEN DARKER.

Having said that, yes, Lars is still a troll and the lyrics to the first song released, sounded like they were TRYING to be dark and cynical but just came off vague and incoherent. I AM THE TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!~~!!!! I AM THE FUTON!!!!!!!!!11!!!

    • "The lyrics and vocals sound like the ramblings of a disturbed old guy who is mumbling about an ex-lover while he paces back and forth down the hall of a convalescent home."

That is the best way I have heard it described.

I AM THE EGGMAN!!! I THEY ARE THE EGGMEN!!! I AM THE TABLE!!! COO COO CA YEYEAAAAAHHH!

Lars might have a point. It's one thing to wake up as a war veteran and realize you have no arms, legs, or face, but imagine how disturbing it would be to wake up and realize that you're A TABLE! Tables can't even use Morse code to communicate, man! That's messed up!

All I'm sayin is that I never listen to a man who wears a scarf for fashion.

In a true metal world Craptallica would have been forced into retirement years ago, here money allows them to flare up from time to time like syphilis each time worse than the last.

  8. Alzheimer sucks. Then they get like this.

  9. This is just typical Lars Ulrich. When they were recording St. Anger, Lars said it would blow Load out of the water. Same thing with Death Magnetic. I've lost interest with Metallica making any good new music many years ago, and I don't except Lulu to change my mind.

Maybe what he's trying to say is that, Justice pales in complexity to LULU. Trust me, I've heard the sample, and it sounds like garbage, I'm just saying, maybe he's just trying to compare one of their most lengthy and complex works to something known for it's simplicity like the first Ramones record
