Go See This Fucking Band

Who Are Elote 5?

Don't you love going to local shows and finding amazing bands? This happened to me over the weekend, when I went to a loft party and discovered a (presumably) Mexican grind band named Elote 5. We didn't understand why the 5, since this was only a three-piece. But we stopped asking questions as soon as they started playing.

To be truthful, I was far too stoned to even remember most of the night, but my buddy Axl Rosenberg who was there has a pretty detailed recap of the night's happenings. Clearly, he passed on a few bong rips when we were pregaming.

Seeing as Elote is Spanish for corn, we tried to track down the band as soon as they got off stage to confirm they prefer corn to flour tortillas but they were nowhere to be found!

If anybody has any leads on where to get more info about this band, please send me an email or private message.

  1. Witnesses around the world report seeing Mexican grindcore bands. Are they real or imaginary? Metal searches for answers…on MetalInjectionQuest.

  2. I feel like their band name isn't actually Elote 5, the whole corn thing could possibly have been a joke, a band that good having absolutely no traces on the internet doesn't seem likely, were their any unmasked mexicans at the party before the band took the stage?

  3. \m/ puro pinche elote cinco grind mexicano \m/ maricon injection

  4. Wow! I just read through that MetalSucks recap and was blown away by the mysticism and power this little anon band supposedly has. I really hope they get big, it sounds like something that needs to be heard by the masses.
