SANCTUARY Announce Comeback Album

In the wake of Nevermore's demise, we were surprised to learn that frontman Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard decided to reactive their old band, Sanctuary for a new album.

The band have been holed up in Seattle's Soundhouse Studios with producer Zeuss and have come out of there, with a new album, The Year The Sun Died.

Warrel commented on the album:

"Now that hell has officially frozen over and the pigs have flown, I can proudly say 'The Year The Sun Died' is finished. The record that nobody thought would ever get here has come in kicking…and yes, there is screaming!
Working with Zeuss (aka the commander) was great. He really pushed us all to be better. This is a very modern sounding record with roots still firmly planted in old school, six-string metal, and I gotta give him creds for that."

No music is yet available, but the album's release date is set for September 30th in North America.
