I've never played any Schecters. Heard good things about them though.

All I know is, I love my PRS.

I'd love my PRS too if i could afford one...

Schecters are actually good guitars for their price. I knew a few people who've used them and no one has ever had any real complaints.

I've seen 'em... Just never played one. I'll check them out though. Never opposed to trying a new guitar

Did you ever see my equipment list in one of the other threads here?

try out a bunch of guitars until you find one that weighs and "feels" right for you. action, balance, fret size, etc.
try it through an amp to make sure it doesnt have the "shitty cardboard wood" tone, if youve compared $150 guitars to $300 guitars, you know what im talking about.

once you got that sorted out, buy pickup to replace the ones it came with.
I highly recommend the Dimarzio X2N
and there you have it! a guitar that is suited for you and a monstrous tone PLUS you got extra cash for the pub.
