I enjoy and respect their music although I do not listen to it very often. I was just saying that I found that particular performance to be very boring. Marijuana is also a friend of mine.

Btbam is kinda boring live but its in the same sense that necrophagist is boring live. They sound great but they just chill which is totally understandable when you are playing something that technical.

I only saw them the one time and the sound was pretty mediocre, they were somewhat drowning each other out. If you hold them up against a band like Dillinger who's music is also very technical at times, then they put on a very shitty live performance in relative terms and are not worth the money.

That sounds like the sound guys fault not the bands. I've seen BTBAM atleast 6 times. Comparing DEP and BTBAM is inapplicable because they are trying to create two totally different types of atmosphere.

Thinking back to all the shows I've been to, and remembering which ones sucked..... Ouch this hurts....

#1 - Horse the Band
The rest in no particular order
Hatebreed
Fudgetunnel
Godflesh

There's more, but only a few have really stood out as bad. If I think of more, I'll post again.

I didn't say it was their fault, and I qualified it by saying I only saw them once and it was a while ago so I have no idea if they do a good job with their live sound or not. I think it is a perfect comparison to make, they are both in the same scene pretty much and have similar fans and both play music that isn't easy. Its just that one puts on a shitty boring performance in comparison to the other. I'm not trying to say I think BTBAM puts on a horrible performance, I'm just saying that with peers like Dillinger, maybe they should try a little harder and so should many other bands.
