Metal Injection

Italian metal band, THE SECRET, have inked a deal with Southern Lord (Pelican, Saint Vitus).  Label owner, Greg Anderson, posted the following statement on the label's official blog: 

"These days, it's extremely rare that we receive a demo submission that blows us away.  This was the case with the demo THE SECRET had sent us.  Their sound is relentless, uncompromising, and extremely lethal.  Anti-melody, pro-cacophony!"

THE SECRET are slated to enter Godcity Studio in April with Kurt Ballou manning production duties.  

A few days ago, THE END Records announced the signing of one of our favorite local acts in the New York scene, HULL, and we are not just saying that because we happened to share many-a-bowls with the dudes, but because their music is guaranteed to rip your head off! The band can be compared to the likes of Neurosis, Mastodon and High on Fire but have a sound uniquely their own. I've seen them many times all over the city, and no matter if you heard of the band or not, your head will uncontrollably begin headbanging.

The band is currently in the studio with John Cosenza of Meteor Sound in Far Rockaway, NY. putting the finishing touches on their debut Sole Lord, which should see a late spring/early summer release.
