Quick Bits
NEIL FALLON + POLKADOT CADAVER = Yes, "Transistors of Mercy"
If you somehow don't know about Polkadot Cadaver, you're missing out. The band features two members formerly of Dog Fashion Disco, including one of my favorite vocalists Todd Smith. The band is about to drop their third album, Last Call In Jonestown, and have been peppering out songs from it for the past few months. The latest sample of the new disc features Neil Fallon from Clutch, and golly if it isn't just grand.

THE WEEKLY INJECTION: New Releases from THE OCEAN, HOWL, MELVINS, and More Out Today – 4/30
Greetings once again all you metal nerds. This was a rough week. Rough in a sense that there was almost too much good stuff to talk about from so many genres, subgenres, subsubgenres, etc. I could have gone on and on with this week's WEEKLY INJECTION, but alas, the fancy beer I can't pronounce is setting in. Now, onward… (more…)

This New INTRONAUT Track Crushes
I was really pumped to hear the new Intronaut full-length, Habitual Levitations (Instilling Words with Tones) when I heard the first single, "Milk Leg," now I'm beyond pumped. The band has posted a second track, "The Welding" over at Pitchfork.com and it's the perfect Monday morning jam. It starts out slow and ambient and really picks up resulting in some serious headbanging. Take a listen
Habitual Levitations (Instilling Words with Tones) comes out March 19th on Century Media.

Listen To The New Album From THE BRONX, Streaming In Full
The Bronx is not a band I was ever super-crazy about, but listening to their new album, The Bronx (IV), I feel like I've been missing out a bit. It's not quite metal, it's more on the punk rock side, but definitely the type of band you can get into if you dig bands like Every Time I Die and Botch. Check out the full stream at Rollingstone.com. The album is released on February 5th via ATO. Pre-order the album on Amazon.com.

KEN MODE Get Help From BOTCH Frontman On New Track
KEN Mode is gearing up to release Entrench on March 19th via Seasons of Mist. Today, the band released a new track on Stereogum that has me really pumped for this release. It features a guest appearance by Dave Verellen of legendary mathcore act Botch and I probably spent the last 20 minutes listening to it on loop. If you like noisecore, this is all you. Have yourself a listen and let us know what you think.

Yes, this is another Kurt-Ballou produced gem. I can't wait to jam the entire thing.
