It's safe to say that our recent holiday special, Season's Bleedings was the biggest production we have ever put together. We spent one loooong weekend together and naturally there was a ton of laughs to be had. Check out some outtakes and behind the scenes footage we compiled of the shoot:

The temperatures may have finally taken a dip here in Minnesota, but none of that mattered last Wednesday, November 12 at the Myth in Maplewood, as In Flames and their touring partners set the venue ablaze to some roaring metal anthems. Metal Injection continues its Mayhem Fest Interview Bonanza with an interview with Sam the shredder of DRAGONFORCE. Sam was a little tipsy and was ready to talk! During our convo, topics discussed include the typical routine on a Mayhem Fest stop, trying to score "birds" (ladies), the Ultra Beatdown album art and more. When asked if he's sick of all the Guitar Hero talk, Sam quickly responds "Don't ask me if I can play my song on Guitar Hero because I get asked that like five times a day." To begin our series of interviews from this summer's Mayhem Fest, we start with a big one… our good friend, Brann Dailor of Mastodon. When not kicking ass on stage, Brann is a worldly traveler… he has many leatherbound books, he talks about that, playing with Metallica, his affiliation with Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age & Isis, gives some hints about the band's new record and more. The madmen behind Maryland’s goriest, circlepittiest, most blastbeat-engulfed metal festival have announced plans to include a second stage, featuring a proposed lineup of fifty (count ‘em, fifty!) crazy-awesome bands. Ten have already been announced, with many more to come.

Worried about being forced to make that agonizing choice between your favorite band and your other favorite band that the conflicting time schedules at so many festivals thrust upon us poor patrons? No worries, Ryan and Evan’ve got your back.

According to the festival organizers, “Bands that will perform on the second stage will not be scheduled to start until a band finishes playing on the main stage. This will allow every band on the second stage to play for at least 15-20 minutes when no other band is playing, not to mention many of the bands on the second stage won't need much more than 20 minutes to play.”

The first ten second stage acts will include:

They just released their Century Media debut Prehistoricisms (watch the title track above). This video was shot last month when the duders hit NYC's Knitting Factory. We had the chance to speak with the guys in the band, and it was a pretty awesome interview (shout out to Arnold Schwarzenegger). Check that out here. This past Saturday, NECROPHAGIST played a special one-off gig opening for the mighty CARCASS. We had a chance to speak with frontman Muhammed Suiçmez.
