The big night has come and gone, the 1st Annual METAL INJECTION LIVECAST AWARDS is in the bag and what a show it was. Hosted by JCVD himself, we decide to award ourselves in the field of excellence in live podcasting. We gave out awards for categories such as "Best On Air Revelation", "Best Skit", "Best Character", "Song Parody of the Year", "Best Celebrity Appearance of the Year" and more. Also, JCVD sings a song, and Rob sang a new song which some people in the livechat called the funniest song we ever played.
We have made both JCVD's and Rob's song available for separate download. Here they are: Rob's Song // JCVD's Song

Here is a clip Sid shot of us in the desert from our trip to Vegas/LA which we talk about during the show.
Rob, Noa, Sid and 3D are back from the West Coast, all the drugs are hidden, the bodies are disposed of and the gambling debts are almost paid off. We start off the show giving a pretty thorough recap of our recent trip to Vegas, LA and NAMM in Anaheim. We learn about what Sid did in the bathroom while Darren was asleep, how Sid almost wanted to kill Rob, how Darren disappeared in Vegas, and much more. We spend almost an hour talking about it and it's great. Also, we get a caller from Charlotte who confronts Rob about ignoring him at New England Metalfest. Also, we bring back everybody's favorite segment, Thrash It or Trash It playing tracks from Shredding the Envelope, Hatred, Onrik and Sikfuk.
We had a very short playlist, here is what we played this week: WRATH AND RAPTURE – A Breathtaking Tragedy ENSLAVED – Lunar Force THUNDERSTONE – Star
Also, don't forget to vote in our year end polls (more…)
We leave for one week and all hell breaks loose on Metal Injection. The site is slown to a crawl, no updates, what the hell is going? Rest assured, we seem to be putting the slowness behind us and updates will resume at a fever pace very soon. We figured what perfect way to start again then being with another great Livecast Mixtape. The crew has compiled some of our favorite moments from the last few months including:
- Rob discusses hitting on Noa in high school
- The Danzig pardoy, "ROBEERRT"
- A lesson in customer service at Walmart
- A candid interview with Barack Obama
- Thor Shredsteen's Thorfume commercial
- Emotional songs about Cocoa, Florida
- The Googler song
- Sid and Loni's wet moments in bed
- Toothgnasher's Epicast invasion and a phone call from Elise from reigninblonde.com.
- Appearances by Oderus Urungus and "Peter Steele"
We'll be back with an all new episode next week, and don't forget to vote in our Year-End Awards
The first Livecast of the new year was a big one. We brought back one of our game shows, The Dirty Pyramid II and this one was a great one. Also, we try to hook up Nina with a new caller, Aaron. Additionally, we talk about Rob's mom trying to hook him up with a girl, our upcoming trip to Vegas, Sid being in love and more.
Make sure to vote in our year end awards. Press "more" to access them. Also, there will be no new episode next week since we will be in Vegas, but we have an awesome mixtape planned for next Wednesday.

This week, Santa Clause was supposed to join us, but ended up coming late. So, we took matters into our own hands and gave a away a free CD to each of our callers. The majority of the show was dominated by us fucking with the callers. Then, Santa finally showed up and he seemed to be in no condition to be on the radio. Yet, we still let him on the show. Experience the holiday cheer from the comfort of your MP3 player. Here is this week's playlist, picked by one of our other special guests, Elise from Reign in Blonde:
NAPALM DEATH – Fallacy Dominion DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT – Hyperdrive! QUICKSAND – Omission GENGHIS TRON – Laser Bitch FAITH NO MORE - Surprise! You're Dead! HORSE THE BAND – Science Police
Things get a little weird on this edition of the Livecast. Noa constantly gets private messages throughout the show from a stalker fan who promises to call in next week. ReigninBlonde.com's Elise calls in and gets harassed about sleeping with Rob. Also, one random dude photoshops a photo of Noa in an odd position (Update: We took down the link because I guess we have some decency or something -Rob). We get a bunch of phone calls from a junkie named Colin who claims to have a lot in common with Darren. Also, we discuss the award categories for our Year End Awards, which happen on January 6th. If you have any ideas for categories or nominees leave a comment about it.
On this edition of the Livecast, Rob shows up an hour late. In other news, the 1st hour of the show is probably the best first hour in our history. During the first hour, we talk about Rob's girly hair products, two female teachers in Brooklyn who sneaked away from an assembly to get it on, and more tom-foolery. There is another edition of Thrash It or Trash It, where we judge unsigned bands. During the second hour, we get a phone call from IN THIS MOMENT vocalist Maria Brink and talk to her about the band's headlining tour, being surrounded by dudes, hanging out with Ozzy and Dave Mustaine and more. Also, Rob's mother joins the show to unveil a new song she wrote just for her son. Here is this week's playlist:
MEGADETH – Diadems ENSIFERUM – Heathen Throne MARTY FRIEDMAN – Black Orchid IN THIS MOMENT – Daddy's Falling Angel
On this week's show, Thor Shredsteen swung by and premiered this new cologne, THORFUME. Hear the world premiere of his new commercial. We also had another edition of Porno Mad Libs. Also, we get another call from our Indian fan, inserting digits into anuses, hallucinating on weed, and more. This week, Sid picks the playlist. Let us know what you think…
AT THE DRIVE-IN – Enfilade EMPEROR – Inno A Satana ANGRY SAMOANS – Ballad Of Jerry Curlan HANDSOME – Needles TENACIOUS D – Dio AT THE GATES - Slaughter of the Soul GIVE UP THE GHOST – Since Always THE HELLACOPTERS – Soulseller
We are joined for a full hour by Heavy Devy himself, DEVIN TOWNSEND. Devin calls us up on his way to band practice for his upcoming tour and we talk about from his latest release, Addicted to working with Steve Vai, closure with Strapping Young Lad, his upcoming records and more. During the interview we a call from Vince Neilstien of MetalSucks as well as a bunch of Devin's fans. Also, Sid was not in the studio because he was able to score an exclusive interview with "President Barack Obama". Take that Fox News! Here is this week's playlist, which was all Devin Townsend related:
STRAPPING YOUNG LAD - All Hail The New Flesh STEVE VAI – Pig DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT – Bend It Like Bender STRAPPING YOUNG LAD – Far Beyond Metal
UPDATED: We posted the behind the scenes clip from this week after the jump…
We return with a bang after being off the air last week. This week we seek guns at WalMart, Jenny sings some John Cougar Mellencamp, we discuss what type of awards would be given out if we had an award show for our podcast, awkward fan interactions, a caller who claims he was not from Cocoa, Flordia, parental permission and doody talk. Overall, many laughs were had. Here is this week's playlist:
DECAPITATED – Nihility VENOM – Countess Bathory JAVELINA – Towers of Silence SEPULTURA – Refuse/Resist W.A.S.P. – The Real Me SKELETONWITCH – Repulsive Salvation
By the way, here is a little video from last week. We shot it last Wednesday right as we got out of the Neil Hamburger show. See the type of people who attended this show with us: (more…)
We know we say new episodes every week, but it's been a while since we took a week off, plus America's funnyman, and one of our heroes, Neil F'N Hamburger is doing a rare performance in the greater NY area, and we just had to go. So, we decided this will be the first Wednesday we do not do a podcast since moving to a new day. Hey, give us a break, alright?
But don't worry, we compiled a mixtape of a bunch of special guest call-ins that have happened in recent weeks including phone calls from Jonny Davy of JOB FOR A COWBOY, Snake Sabolnick of A LIFE ONCE LOST, Ian Christe of Bazillion Points Books and SiriusXM Liquid Metal, Tim Lambesis of AS I LAY DYING/AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE, Greg Weeks of THE RED CHORD, Paul Waggoner of BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME and Travis Ryan of CATTLE DECAPITATION playing our gameshow Death or No Death.
Also, Sid is bringing his Flip camera tonight so he can show you how much fun we're having not doing the Livecast. That clip should be up a little later in the week.
Feel free to to post in the comments why you think we suck for not doing the show tonight. We will be back with a new live episode next week!
UPDATE: We posted the behind the scenes clip after the jump…
On this edition of the Metal Injection Livecast, we are joined near the beginning of the show by the maggot master himself, Oderus Urungus, vocalist of GWAR. Oderus talked to some of his bohabs (dedicated GWAR fans), talked shit on Kerry King, LORDI, Fox News and more. Also, Darren pens a special tribute song to The Googler. We talk to "Peter Steele" and "Tom Araya" and bring back everybody's favorite segment, Thrash it or Trash It. Here is this week's playlist:
GWAR – Damnation Under God CROTCHDUSTER – Let Me Into Starfish Land LUDACHRIST – Most People Are Dicks LUDACHRIST – This Party Sucks SOD – Milk CALLENISH CIRCLE – Ignorant SLAYER – Psychopathy Red REVOCATION – Dismantle The Dictator SOLEFALD – There is Need
UPDATE: We have added this week's Behind the Scenes video after the jump
We had two very special guests on this edition of the METAL INJECTION LIVECAST, Greg Weeks of THE RED CHORD & Paul Waggonner of BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME. Greg calls early on and starts some beef with Paul, which Paul responds to later in the show. Also, when Paul comes on the air, we have a hurricane of callers, our most call-ins ever, asking deep questions about his hair cut and Cheetos. In all fairness, some dudes ask some good questions about guitars and the band. Also, we talk about Dave Ellefson's new career reading people's resumes, Geek2Geek and more! We also have a few calls from the Googler, including something in the final minutes of the show that may have been too far! Here is this week's playlist, mostly picked by 3D:
THE RED CHORD – The Ugliest Truth ANTHRAX feat. PUBLIC ENEMY – Bring The Noise SUICIDAL TENDENCIES – Trip At The Brain ENTOMBED – Left Hand Path BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME – Fossil Genera – A Feed From Cloud Mountain
Plus the comedic stylings of Bill Hicks and Kumail Nanjiani
