THE CONTORTIONIST Loses Singer Due To Impeding Child

Singer Jonathan Carpenter parted ways with The Contortionist over the weekend, because his longtime girlfriend is about to his first child. According to a press release released Friday afternoon, Mike Lessard of Last Chance To Reason will be temporarily replacing Carpenter on the road for the remainder of their dates.

Whoa! I did not expect this. Last Friday, the metal world was rather shocked when Machine Head announced they were parting ways with bassist Adam Duce. Everything seemed pretty civil, but in a new blog entry, frontman Robb Flynn sort of tears into Duce, saying the bassist was basically "over it" for the last decade but just couldn't quit, so the band had to fire him. Last week, we were collectively bummed with drummer Lyle Cooper announced he's quitting The Faceless due to managerial and creative differences.

In the early 2000s, Bleeding Through were one of the more successful bands in the metal scene. Their album, This is Love, This is Murderous, specifically "Love Lost In A Hale Of Gunfire" was everywhere.
