I want my wedding to be like this SNL skit
- Posted on February 7, 2010
What do you know? SNL was actually pretty good this week. Most of the jokes were funny, the musical guest, THEM CROOKED VULTURES, was awesome and Ashton Kutcher seemed like he pulled his weight. The awesomeness of this episode of SNL was sealed during the last sketch of the evening. It's a wedding reception skit. As a bit of foreshadowing, we see one of the last names was Cadena, which is a reference to Dez Cadena, former BLACK FLAG vocalist and rythm guitarist and current member of the Misfit Variety Spectacular. It's a dad making a toast at his daguhter's wedding, and he gets his old bandmates from when he was a kid to come up on stage. Dave Grohl is one of those dudes. I won't spoil the rest. Check it out for yourself…
(An advanced apology to non-US viewers, as Hulu is lame and only allows US streamage).
Here are THEM CROOKED VULTURES's two performances…

Indeed, all weddings need a chaotic party-crashing rock or metal band.
Fuck Hulu for sticking to US only streaming.
That song is a total homage to the Dead Kennedys/Suicidal Tendencies as well… soooo good. Looks like there's a hardcore kid in the writing staff!
